Batten down the hatches, Boston and the New England area is getting a blizzard. I’m planning on hiding behind coats, scarves, gloves, giant hats or anything I can get my hands on that will keep me warm. I enjoy snow the most when I’m at home in front of a fire in a pile of blankets. That’s how I enjoyed the couple of inches this weekend and hopefully how I’ll be able to weather the coming days.
Halloween is over and it’s officially the start of the holiday season. It’s hands down one of my favorite parts of the year. The weather picks up a little chill and you need a coat with you at all times. Boston even had it’s first snow today! It may have been a mix of slush and snow but it still counts in my book.
It is officially white jeans season and I love it! One of my favorite things is that they are only “acceptable” for a short window of time which makes me wear them more often. In particular white jeans are great for those colder nights when you need more than shorts but don’t feel like wearing plain old denim.
By pairing these white jeans with a pink coat this girl is showing off her fun, summery side while staying warm. The bow detail at her collar adds a whimsical feel to the outfit. The blue shoes emphasize the color blocking of her ensemble.
Living in Boston I have gained an appreciation of taxis. They are a quick and easy way to get around the city and I always enjoy the fun, quirky conversation with the driver. They know the ins and outs of a city in ways I will never figure out in a million years. I try to walk everywhere I can so it’s limited my learning opportunities.
I always take them when I catch a flight, bus or train out of town. However, that’s the only time I never seem to be able to find one! Whether catching a last minute ride to the airport or heading out to a date, this ensemble if certain to impress.
In Boston I’m battling a freezing winter and just dreaming of summer days when legs and arms can be bare. Unfortunately, my clothing reality is a giant sleeping bag like coat, fluffy earmuffs and a scarf so big only my nose peeks out.
Dreaming back to summer, one of my favorite dress designs of the season was this scalloped dress. The lines are simple and elegant but with enough personality that you can wear just the dress or throw on a statement necklace to add that extra bit of pop!
