Ballet Princess

Prima Ballerina

Can’t you see this girl either in a ballet or a ballerina after waiting to greet her fans? Simple, fashionable and beautifully draped, that’s how I always imagine they dress at all times. Theres’ something about a tulle skirt that brings alive your imagination and the twirling moves ballerinas are so famous for.

Grocery Shopping

11-10-14-Grocery Shopping

I love grocery shopping. It’s a chance to stock up on food for the week and refill any of the basics I’ve used up. Going through the aisles I always see things I want to try. Each week I try and pick a new food or brand that I’ve never tasted before. I usually shop at Trader Joe’s so there are always new funky things to try.

Some of my favorites are trying out their different cookies or pastries. Last week I bought the frozen chocolate croissants and thought I had experienced heaven on earth. You put them out the night before, let them rise and pop them into the oven for 15 minutes first thing in the morning while you’re grabbing a quick shower. You get a delicious, warm breakfast with almost no work or clean up!

Coats On

10-28-14-Shoulder throw

Halloween is over and it’s officially the start of the holiday season. It’s hands down one of my favorite parts of the year. The weather picks up a little chill and you need a coat with you at all times. Boston even had it’s first snow today! It may have been a mix of slush and snow but it still counts in my book.

Happy Halloween!

11-01-14-Black Dress

Happy Halloween! I don’t think you can ever be too old to celebrate or get into the spirit. I’m planning to attend a couple of parties planned this weekend with friends and I can’t wait to get dressed up. However, I must admit, I am TERRIBLE at picking out costumes. I change my mind at least 5 times each year and even at the end it’s different from my initial thought 2 hours before.

This drawing was inspired by dressing up to be a red carpet celebrity for the night. I hope everyone has a wonderful, candy filled night!

Winter Whites with a Pop

10-26-14-Pink Diva

Summer may be over but that doesn’t mean you have to stop wearing white. For me, I can’t wear a bright white but winter whites are still in play. The slightly darker whites can be beautiful when paired with the muted tones of fall or the deep jewel tones of winter. These pants, paired with a bold check is a great outfit for the transition to fall or winter.

Cheering at Head of the Charles

10-18-14-Sunshine

What a perfect weekend for Head of the Charles! It’s great for the rowers by not being too hot as they work to win their races. Spectators are happy because it’s easy to walk around the Charles River. The banks are full of people cheering on the rowers with contagious excitement. Over by Harvard there is always a long row of tents with free food and gear that you can buy. I love trying all the samples. I’ve gone every year since high school and always have a good time. I can’t wait to cheer on the rowers again this year!

Taxi Please!

04_16_14_Taxi Please

Living in Boston I have gained an appreciation of taxis. They are a quick and easy way to get around the city and I always enjoy the fun, quirky conversation with the driver. They know the ins and outs of a city in ways I will never figure out in a million years. I try to walk everywhere I can so it’s limited my learning opportunities.

I always take them when I catch a flight, bus or train out of town. However, that’s the only time I never seem to be able to find one! Whether catching a last minute ride to the airport or heading out to a date, this ensemble if certain to impress.
